Seminary Application Information

Picture
Welcome!

You have been invited to complete an application to become a seminarian for the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis.  It is a wonderful thing to sense that God is calling a man to the priesthood.  The Church, in her wisdom, has to confirm that call.  That happens through the application process and for those who enter the seminary it continues throughout all the years of formation.

The first application is with the Archdiocese through the Office of Vocations.  After being accepted at the Archdiocesan level, an applicant will then apply to either St John Vianney College Seminary or to The Saint Paul Seminary, our graduate level seminary.  Each seminary has its own admissions criteria.

This entire application process should not take more than 3 months from start to finish.  Please do everything you can to keep to the schedule that has been put together for you by the Office of Vocations.

Director of Vocations
