Archdiocesan Prayer for Vocations
O God, we earnestly ask You to bless this archdiocese with many priests, Brothers, and Sisters who will love You with their whole strength and gladly spend their entire lives to serve your Church and to make You known and loved.
Bless our families, bless our children. Choose from our homes those needed for your work.
Mary, Queen of the Clergy, pray for us, pray for our priests, Religious, and deacons. Obtain for us many more.

Prayer for Vocations
Heavenly Father, You have asked us to pray for vocations, that there might be young men and women willing to give of themselves for the sake of the Gospel. Hear the prayers of your Church and, through the merits of Your Passion and Death, send an abundance of good and holy priests, Religious and other consecrated persons to serve faithfully the People of God. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Mary, Mother of all vocations, pray for us!
Prayer for My Vocation
Dear God,
You have a great and loving plan
for our world
and for me.
I want to do my part in your plan.
Help me to see
the signs that You give me.
Open my heart to respond to You.
Grant me the courage
to follow your call.
Give me the strength
to serve You and your people
with generosity and love.
Amen.
LifeWork Prayer to Saint Joseph
Saint Joseph, humble and obedient servant to God, I come before you seeking your powerful intercession.
Pray for me that I may discover and live faithfully my personal vocation and mission.
Lead me in silence to better hear God’s call.
Teach me the virtues of humility and obedience.
Guide me along the path God has chosen for me.
Equip me with the skills I need to accomplish my life’s work.
Protect me from worldly distractions that draw me away from God’s will.
Work with me as I live out my life-purpose in my home, the Church, and the world.
In imitation of you, may I live by faith, humility, and obedience, submitting my mind and heart to God with complete trust and confidence in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Prayers of Pope Benedict XVI
On the World Day of Prayer for Vocations 2006
Grant, O Father, that the Church may welcome with joy the numerous inspirations of the Spirit of Your Son and, docile to His teachings, may she care for vocations to the ministerial priesthood and to the consecrated life. Amen.
Sustain, O Lord, bishops, priests and deacons, consecrated men and women, and all the baptized in Christ, so that they may faithfully fulfill their mission at the service of the Gospel. Amen.

Opening Prayer
Lord Jesus, the miracle of the Incarnation has inspired Christians for generations. Inspire us now as we meditate on the mystery of Your coming as Messiah. Help us clear our minds of the concerns of the day and fill our souls with the peace that You alone can give.
Amen.

Closing Prayer
Lord Jesus, we thank you for the wondrous gift of Your Incarnation. Just as the Blessed Virign Mary was used to bring You into this world, help us to use our time and talents to bring the Good News into the world. May we never forget the love You have for all of us, and may we never forget to share that love with others. Amen.
