Director of Vocations
Fr. Tom Wilson
Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis
Fr. Wilson was ordained for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis in 1996, and served at Epiphany in Coon Rapids from 1996-2001, and has been in the vocations office since 2001. He also spent 2005-2006 as administrator of the Church of St. John in St. Paul.
Fr. Wilson grew up in North St. Paul as the youngest of eight children. He did his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota (School of Management) and graduated with a degree in Accounting in 1986. He worked in the internal audit department of a large Minneapolis company from 1986-1991.
After many years of ignoring a possible call to the priesthood, he entered the Saint Paul Seminary in 1991, where he received Masters of Divinity and Masters in Theology degrees.
He loves being a priest and working with other men, young and not so young, who may experience God’s call to the vocation. There has never been a boring day serving God’s people in the way Christ has asked. The opportunity to bring Christ to people in the sacraments is a gift and much better than he ever anticipated.
In his spare time, Fr. Wilson enjoys sporting events, especially University of Minnesota Men’s Basketball
